In accordance with the Aviation Law, the Directorate participates in the work of international aviation organizations and institutions, including their working groups, and cooperates with the civil aviation authorities of other countries.
International Cooperation Activities
International cooperation is conducted through the following key areas:
1. Participation in International Aviation Organizations
Engagement in the activities of international aviation organizations and their working groups, where the Republic of Serbia holds full membership or observer status (e.g. ICAO, ECAC, EUROCONTROL, EASA), for the purpose of actively monitoring global developments in civil aviation and fulfilling obligations stemming from such participation
2. Collaboration with the European Commission
Ongoing cooperation with the European Commission, particularly the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), in relation to the implementation and oversight of the Multilateral Agreement on the Establishment of a Common European Aviation Area (ECAA Agreement).
3. Regional Cooperation
Coordination with neighbouring States to promote standardization and harmonization in the areas of aviation safety and security, including joint inspections, training activities, search and rescue exercises, and aligned representation in international aviation fora.
4. Bilateral Cooperation
Engagement in bilateral activities to facilitate the establishment of new air service routes by the national air carrier, Air Serbia, including support for direct operations and participation in broader commercial arrangements.
