Communication Navigation Surveillance Department – CNS Department
CNS Department is responsible for monitoring and implementation of the international regulations (rules), standards and recommended practices in the area of communication, navigation and surveillance systems and devices (CNS), analyzes the need and makes proposals of rules and individual bylaw acts in accordance with the law, other national regulations and ratified international conventions in the area of CNS; performs functions of the National Supervisory Authority of the Republic of Serbia in the area of communication navigation and surveillance systems and equipment (CNS) of air navigation services providers; conducts initial, periodical and additional audits and inspections of air navigation services providers in the area of CNS; does oversight and approves the changes into a functional system in the area of CNS; performs analytical tasks of safety related events; performs regulatory and supervisory tasks related to the training and licensing of air traffic safety electronic personnel; performs analytical tasks related to the obstacles that affect the operation of CNS systems and devices; does coordination of resources such as aeronautical frequencies and radar codes.
