Director General of the European Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) Frank Brenner has finished his visit to the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia speaking with the management team of this Serbian civil aviation authority. 

 

Mr. Brener has commended the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia for a successful implementation of the European civil aviation standards and for the progress made so far in the safety of air navigation.

 

Mr. Brenner said that the successful aviation authority conducted by the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia and a high quality air navigation services provider such as SMATSA are both a guarantee for safe and modern development of civil aviation in the region. Eurocontrol renders thanks to Serbia for the active participation in all areas within the development of air traffic in its airspace and beyond.

 

Director of the the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Milan Zivanovic, reiterated the importance of successful cooperation between the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia and Eurocontrol dating from 2005, when Serbia became a full member of this exceptional European civil aviation organization.

 

The management team of the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia expressed its appreciation for the support provided by Eurocontrol in all activities that this Serbian civil aviation authority performed towards improvement and strengthening the air navigation safety in Serbia.

 

As a sign of successful cooperation between Eurocontrol and the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, Director General of Eurocontrol, Mr. Frank Brenner presented to the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia the plaque and flag of the European Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation.
