New working arrangement between EASA and CAD RS signed

Director of the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia (CAD RS), Mirjana Čizmarov, and the Executive Director of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Patrick Ky, signed on 6 May 2015 in Paris, the new working arrangement between the EASA and the Directorate. The document was signed in the 144th meeting of the Directors General of Civil Aviation of the Member States. The new working arrangement supersedes a document from 2009, further enhancing cooperation between the two bodies in the fields covered by the Regulation (EC) 216/2008 in order to achieve a high uniform level of civil aviation safety and environmental compatibility. Signing of the working arrangement contributes to the necessary cohesion in the application of the standards in the fields of overall aviation safety, including the air traffic management, air navigation services provision, and aerodromes safety in the Republic of Serbia, while maintaining the efficient safety system throughout the country, which is the primary goal of the Directorate. This goal has been successfully achieved by monitoring and consistent application of European requirements, as well as by EASA verifications through regular standardization inspections carried out in accordance with the same rules applied in the EU Member States.
