EUR/NAT DGCA Meeting Held

Director Mirjana Čizmarov from the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia participated in the Meeting of Civil Aviation Directors General of ICAO EUR/NAT Region Member States on the 23rd of April, 2024, convened in Toulouse.
With the support from the member states, Director Chizmarov was elected as deputy chairman for the meeting that brought together the representatives from 56 countries, including the participants from Canada and the United States of America, and international aviation organizations and agencies, including the European Commission, EASA and EUROCONTROL.
Key agenda items were the advancement of aviation expertise for the next generation, ICAO's efforts towards environmental conservation, and fortifying the aviation system's resilience.
A notable focus was placed on initiatives fostering gender equality and advocating for gender-inclusive policies, marking a significant stride towards empowering women in aviation. Additionally, deliberations encompassed strategies for assisting victims of aviation accidents and their families, along with discussions on the ratification of international aviation agreements.
