Official Announcement of the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia

Regarding false allegations published in certain media, which may mislead the public concerning the information related to training to be qualified as aviation personnel, as well as training for unmanned aircraft operators, the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia hereby issues the following:

The Civil Aviation Directorate is the only competent authority in the Republic of Serbia, that approves training plans and programs for aviation personnel. It issues, revokes, and/or suspends certificates to training centres; performs checks of knowledge and skills; licences aviation personnel, and issues certificates of passed exams or certificates of knowledge of aviation regulations.

All training centres for aviation personnel (pilots, air traffic controllers, air mechanics, dispatchers, etc.) must be certified by the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, and it is recommended that applicants check if such certificates exist, prior to commencing training in one of the centres.

The Air Transport Law and regulations adopted thereon stipulate in which cases and for whom the training is mandatory, and the persons authorized to conduct that training.
