ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) conducted oversight of the CAD work within the framework of the ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) from 19 to 26 March 2019.

The ICVM is a coordinated mission comprising the activities carried out by ICAO experts in ICAO Member States whereby the experts gather and evaluate evidence provided by the State relating to the implementation of the accepted corrective action plans of the Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).

During the ICAO 2009 audit, 182 findings were found related to the deficiencies in the implementation of critical elements of the state oversight function, resulting in a total compliance level of 66.4% for the civil aviation system in the Republic of Serbia.

During its March 2019 mission, made at the invitation of the Director of the Directorate, Ms. Mirjana Čizmarov, ICAO found that the level of compliance of the civil aviation system in the Republic of Serbia is 93.3%, which is an improvement of 26.9% compared to the oversight carried out in 2009.

The achieved result at this time places the Republic of Serbia at the 5th place in Europe and the 14th place in the world regarding the level of compliance and implementation of the ICAO regulations and recommended practice regarding the civil aviation system.
