Information about pilot licences and certificates issued by CAD

Thursday, 30.08.2012.
The Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia achieved the technical level of standardization in the area of pilot licencing, on the basis of JAA mutual recognition status in the areas regulated by JAR-FCL 1, 2, 3, 4 and JIPs, which was also confirmed by the Standardization Team of the European Civil Aviation Agency (EASA) in the Statements of Findings Closure, issued in April 2011.

Pilot licences and certificates issued by the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia are to be recognized without further formalities in the Member States of the European Union until the entering into force of the European regulations covering the area of pilot licences (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 of 3 November 2011; Commission regulation (EU) No 290/2012 of 30 March 2012) within the respective Member State. The dates of entry into force of these Regulations depend upon the derogation dates, separately established by each EU Member State. The derogations to the provisions of the regulations covering the area of pilot licences are envisaged till 8 April 2013.

The information about the dates of entry into force of new regulations in each of EU Member State can be found on the EASA webpage: http://easa.europa.eu/approvals-and-standardisation/derogations-to-regulations.php.

The Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia has already taken all necessary steps for the implementation of the European regulations covering the area of pilot licences in the Republic of Serbia. In order to retain the current status of pilot licences, issued by CAD, within the EU Member States it is necessary to conclude an Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and European Union in this area.

The Civil Aviation Directorate has taken the steps in this direction as well, with the view of concluding the Agreement between Republic of Serbia and European Union as soon as possible.

The current status of pilot licences issued by CAD with respect to mutual recognition recommendation issue can be found at EASA webpage: http://easa.europa.eu/approvals-and-standardisation/mutual-recognition.php.

In accordance with its annual schedule of standardisation inspections for 2013, EASA Standardisation Team has already announced the standardisation inspection to the Civil Aviation Directorate for April 2013. One of the aims of this visit is the verification of the implementation of already achieved standards regarding the pilot licences (FCL, MED) issued by the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia.
