Mirjana Cizmarov appointed as Director

The Government of the Republic of Serbia at its session today appointed Ms. Mirjana Cizmarov as Director of the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, for a term of five years, on the proposal by CAD Board. The Government had previously adopted proposal on Ms. Cizmarov`s removal from service as Acting Deputy Director of the Directorate.
The Board of the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, PhD Zorana Mihajlovic, had previously discussed the list of candidates for the post. Among the total number of applicants, the Committee, carrying out the open competition, chose the three nominees proposed by the Board. The Committee decided to choose Mirjana Cizmarov as Director General.
Mirjana Cizmarov graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. Throughout her career she dealt with the legal aspects of the European integration in the field of air transport.
From 2002 to 2005 she served as a Deputy Minister of Transport and a member of the working group for incorporating the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia and the former Air Traffic Control Agency of Serbia and Montenegro, in compliance with the EU standards.
She was also a head of Office for Cooperation with the European Union at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. Since 2006, she served as Legal and General Affairs Director, Special Adviser to the Director General for CRCO (EUROCONTROL) and Planning and Development Director in the Civil Aviation Directorate. Since February 2013, she served as Acting Deputy Director of the Directorate.
