  On January 10, 2020, the following regulations were published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia: the Regulation on Unmanned Aircraft, the Regulation amending the Regulation on training and certificates of the personnel responsible for conducting security screenings and training organizations of aviation security personnel, and the Regulation on the third country air carriers subject to ban or operating restriction. These regulations will enter into force on 18 january, with the exception of the Regulation on the Unmanned Aircraft, which will enter into force on 15 February.

ICAO and Directorate Jointly Organize International Search and Rescue (SAR) Workshop

European and North Atlantic Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization  (ICAO EUR / NAT) has launched the project in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia regarding the international Search and Rescue workshop to be organized for all 56 countries within the ICAO EUR / NAT region. The venue will be Hyatt Regency Belgrade Hotel, Belgrade September 16-17 2019. 

In addition to ICAO EUR/NAT States, it is expected that other international organizations such as ICAO EUROCONTROL, COSPAS-SARSAT, EUROPEAN COMMISSION (EC), IATA, EASA, CANSO, IFALPA will also respond to this invitation.

The EUR / NAT ICAO office prepared and sent a letter of invitation, and a number of countries and international organizations have already confirmed their participation.

The organization of the search and rescue workshop in the Republic of Serbia is a result of the Directorate`s outstanding work recognized by ICAO in its latest audit where the level of compliance of 93, 3% with the international standards and recommended practices established to be applicable in the civil aviation system in the Republic of Serbia, ranking Serbia 5th in Europe.
